Kindle Customer 24/09/2024After filling up I started hearing a pop noise. I noticed a crack in the corner getting bigger under the seal. Had to get my fish out and empty the tank.lost eggs because of it. Had to wait till the Monday before I could contact someone and they saw the pictures I sent and replaced the tank right away.They were polite on the phone and helpful. Wasn't offered any compensation for the lose of my angel fish and disus fish eggs and I also lost a few fish due to having to move them out of the tank.
Marcymarc3469 09/07/2024I purchased mine off Ebay not Monster Shop UK.Have to agree with the reviewers on here regarding design and ease of access, hahaha what a joke. Whoever designed the lid of this thing deserves nothing. Absolutely beautiful tank but a lot more thought should have gone into it, like making it one complete lid for easy access because as it is, its not easy at all.As for the flat packed cabinet, the instructions to build it should be in the flat pack itself, as its the first thing that has to be put together, and not in the bottom of the fish tank. Luckily im used to building flat pack furniture.I had to remove the 3 pin plug so i could get the pump cable out of the small opening, that is a design flaw and nobody should have to dismantle a plug, for any reason other than to change the fuse or replace the plug.I didn't use the 300w heater that came with it as there is no scald guard on it. Instead i was able to force my AQQA Aquarium Heater 500W Submersible Fish Tank Heater with Double Explosion-Proof Quartz Tubes and External LED Display Controller for Marine Saltwater and Freshwater, through the opening on the filter tray without any damage being caused.You seriously need to be careful though, its a tight squeeze, because if you break the filter tray then the pump wont hang off it and you will have to revert to another method of pumping the water.https://www.Monster Shop UK.co.uk/gp/product/B0B7DP8G5X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1If your over 6 foot in height then reaching into the tank will be no problem for you, I'm 5 foot 7 and struggled to reach in to grab the instructions from the bottom of the tank when it was up on the cabinet. I'm going to have to buy a step to do any kind of tank maintenance, not a grumble just an observation.
