Mark Vette, Dogzen (check You Tube and FB) recommends this type of pen as puppies cannot climb up or stand on their hind legs with this style. The product is robust and sturdy and well able to handle my 9 week old black lab puppy. It arrived with a damaged door and this was corrected swiftly and professionally. Can highly recommend
